This adult manikin is a great trainer for introductory as well as advanced students. Manikin simulates a nonanesthetized patient for practicing intubation, ventilation, suction, and CPR techniques. Realistic anatomy and landmarks include teeth, tongue, oral and nasal pharynx, larynx, epiglottis, arytenoids, false cords, true vocal cords, trachea, lungs, esophagus, and stomach. The manikin allows you to practice oral, digital, and nasal intubation, as well as E.T., E.O.A., P.T.L., L.M.A., E.G.T.A., Combitube, and King System insertion. Suction techniques and proper cuff inflation may also be practiced and evaluated. Applying pressure to the cricoid cartilage changes the position of the trachea and closes the esophagus, allowing realistic practice of the Sellick maneuver. Manual carotid pulse. Manikin includes hard carry case and supplies.
When using an electronic unit, select one of four modes (compression rate, compression depth, ventilation duration, ventilation volume) by pushing indicator switch. The performance of each skill is displayed separately while averages are stored in the memory (Printer and Memory Units only). Units are designed to automatically switch between compression and ventilation modes. Five-year warranty.
- Bifurcated lungs
- Pliable abdomen for obstructed airway procedure
- Head with durable, one-piece construction
- Upgrade with any modular component listed below
- Jaw thrust
- Xiphoid, navel, nipples, and rib cage landmarks
- Palpable landmarks for hand placement
Option: Memory Unit. For testing, simply push test start button and begin CPR sequence. Compression and ventilation waveforms are plotted in a time sequence. When stop button is pushed, averages of the four skills are shown on the digital display. Includes six “D” batteries.
Option: Light Controller. This unit includes a three-color light controller which indicates acceptable levels. Red light indicates improper hand placement, yellow light signals proper compression depth, green light signals proper ventilation volume. Child CPR can be practiced by changing the compression springs and flipping the switch on the light controller.
Option: Electronic Monitoring Printer Unit. Unit combines features from “Airway Larry” with Light Controller (LF03596U) and Electronic Monitoring and Memory Unit (LF03597U) with addition of a printer, which tabulates the results on paper. Includes three rolls of paper and six “D” batteries.
