Prestan’s revolutionary new CPR Manikin Rate Monitor allows for instant feedback to both instructor and student regarding the rate of chest compression. This allows each student to gauge their rate of compressions on their own as well as allowing the instructor to monitor several students quickly and easily.
And with our patented face/head tilt, the Prestan CPR manikins simulate the way an actual victim’s head would move if he required CPR. In addition, the unique construction of our manikins incorporates a mechanism to help them use the correct force to compress the chest to the correct depth. |

When you do the compressions on the Prestan manikin a light will come up: for 60 compressions/minute the red light will come up, for 80 compressions/minute the yellow light will come up and for 100 compressions/minute the green light will come up. The manufacturer is in constant communication with the American Heart Association and as of right now they will not change the guidelines regarding the number of compressions/minute in 2010. But, we will know for sure at the end of 2010. I just want to assure you that if the guidelines will change then the manufacturer will come up with a solution to be able to use the manikins following the AHA standards. |
